THE THIRD EDITION OF THE BOOGIE BRAIN FESTIVAL ON ŁASZTOWNIA

An announcement about the new site for the festival is a really good news for everybody. Next year from 22 to 24 July the mixture of the best, carefully selected sounds will be listened and enjoyed on the Starówka Embankment on the Łasztownia island. We are moving to the new district of Szczecin - Śródodrze.

On Monday during the press conference we announced the date of the event and a few important changes in the shape of the Boogie Brain idea. There are no doubts that the festival became a unique, a year lasting event with three functions: cultural, educational and social.

Those days and those concerts will be remembered for long, long time. The emotions provided by the Ayers band cannot be forgotten. Perfection and professionalism and absolutely incredible groove of the musicians seems to be sent from outer space.

The great respect the to the artist, who came to Poland for the very first time, played the only one gig for us and finally, having great fun on stage, dedicated us one of his greatest hits "We live in Brooklyn baby" changing the lyrics into "We live in Polska" making the audience going mad. Earlier he gradually was heating up the atmosphere letting his musicians show how skillful the are. The great surprise was made to Ray Gaskins, who had his birthday on Saturday and he was given a birthday cake in the middle of the stage. The artists was so moved that when he was thanking for that he was in tears. The band played some of Ayers immortal hits "Everybody loves the sunshine", "Searchin'" and a lot of songs from the different stages of his career. There was some jazz, soul, funk, and delicate r'n'b - all this in "HD version" - played by the great musicians. That is all about the main 'course' of the festival but it was well known that all the artist guaranteed the highest quality.

Everything went perfectly well. The unique, Saturday event on such an incredible stage gathered about a thousand, hungry of music participants on about two hundreds different kinds of boats. There were some cruisers, German old timers, private yachts and motor boats. Everybody listened to an incredible concert of Antoni Gralak and Dariusz Makaruk and then the armada disappeared.
 
The promoter of the concert - Boogie Brain Association brought two cruisers and three German old timers for the citizens of  Szczecin who did not have their private transport.
