An announcement about the new site for the festival is a really good news for everybody. Next year from 22 to 24 July the mixture of the best, carefully selected sounds will be listened and enjoyed on the Starówka Embankment on the Łasztownia island. We are moving to the new district of Szczecin - Śródodrze.

On Monday during the press conference we announced the date of the event and a few important changes in the shape of the Boogie Brain idea. There are no doubts that the festival became a unique, a year lasting event with three functions: cultural, educational and social.

The festival will last three days. The first day - Thursday - is a film day. It is going to take place on the yard of the Szczecin castle. This year the film show met a huge acclaim from the audience. Next year it is going to be even better.

On Friday there is also going to be plenty of attractions. Łasztownia lets us build more than one stage. The Boogie Brain crew is planning to take advantage of this fact. It was announced that we are discussing the details with the "Laif" magazine, which judged us as one of the most promising events in the country, building a stage where the best artists from the compilation issued by the magazine and us will perform. It is going to be so called "Laif Night".

During the first edition of our festival we had no so very well known project called Jazzsteppa. It was their first gig in Poland. Now they play in Poznan and Warszawa and all over the world. This year we invited Inner City Dwellers - also for the first time in this country. The reaction of the audience was so enthusiastic that it is probable that they play a tour around Poland next year. We are paving the tracks. There are proofs for that and that is why we want to collaborate with more Polish artists, the director of the festival Bartek Sawicki said.

We are also planning the "Berlin stage". Thanks to collaboration between "Boogie Brain" and a district  Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg in Berlin, where a month before our festival "Bergmannstrassenfest" takes place. We are going to send there the "Boogie Brain" representation.

The line-up of the next edition remains still mysterious, but Maciek Gorzelak - the art director of the festival - ensured that the level of the quality is going to be even higher and the main stage of the festival will have more stars.

Istotną rolę w projekcie "Boogie Brain" odgrywają imprezy towarzyszące festiwalowi. W przyszłym roku planuje się ich więcej niż w 2009. Będą kontynuacje udanych "Chłopców z Sorrento" i "Active Minds", pojawią się nowe inicjatywy. Nie zabraknie również koncertu na betonowcu. W przyszłym roku, w ramach 200. rocznicy urodzin Chopina, współcześni artyści przedstawią nowoczesną interpretację jego dzieł. Imprezę na niemieckim wraku poparło miasto, które połączyło kilka "inicjatyw chopinowskich" w całość i złożyło wniosek o dofinansowanie do Ministerstwa Kultury.

The price of the entry? It is not worth mentioning, it is going to be available to everybody.
