tymański yass ensemble

tymański yass ensemble

Tymanski Yass Ensemble was created in 2003, when a trumpeter Antoni Ziut Gralak, known from Tie Break, Graal or Yeshe, joined Tymon’s quartet Milosc (Love). TYE is a peculiar continuation of Milosc. The band continues yass scene traditions, performing music which is a perfect mixture of jazz, alternative rock and ethno music. Yass Ensemble repertoire results from Tymanski’s composing experience with Milosc band and stage experience of the rest of musicians, each being a leader own his own group and author of a characteristic music concept. The band recorded material for their first album ‘Jitte’ in Biodro Records studio in spingtymański yass ensemble 2004 and released it in December 2004 by Tone Industria. For the last two years the band worked on the material titled ‘Free Tibet’. It was produced by Piotr Pawlak. During the production of the second album an electronic music artist Dariusz Makaruk took part.

Present band includes Antoni Ziut Gralak - trumpet, tuba; Aleksander Korecki – alto saxophone and baritone saxophone, flute; Ireneusz Wojtczak – tenor and soprano saxophone; Tymon Tymanski - guitar, vocals; Wojtek Mazolewski – bass guitar, elektrobass; Kuba Staruszkiewcz - drums.
